Our Story
From Labourer to Business Owner
Reuben Williams joined the construction industry twelve years ago as a skilled labourer. He learned the trade from the ground up — literally. From digging footings by hand to operating 14-tonne excavators, from laying drainage to supervising entire housing developments. That progression through every stage of the build is what makes RW Groundworks different: Reuben doesn’t just manage projects, he understands every single trade involved in them.
After years as a site supervisor running major construction sites, Reuben launched RW Groundworks to bring that hands-on expertise directly to clients across Cornwall.
Today, the company handles groundworks packages on multi-house developments, domestic landscaping and driveway projects, drainage installations, demolition, plant hire, and everything in between.
Who We Are
The Team
RW Groundworks isn’t a one-man band. The team includes qualified highway operatives, site supervisors, skilled machine operators, and health and safety qualified professionals. Everyone on site is CSCS carded and trained to work to the standards that Reuben built his reputation on.
Whether it’s a dropped kerb in Helston or a groundworks package on 11 houses, the standard doesn’t change.
The team handles residential projects — garden landscaping, driveways, patios, fencing — with the same professionalism they bring to commercial contracts.
